Proterra Group have been providing operational staff and management of the Goondiwindi Landfill for the last thirteen (13) years.

We are currently under contract to Goondiwindi Regional Council for ten (10) years management and operation of the Goondiwindi Waste Facility and are currently running a trial for the operation of the Inglewood Waste Facility.

Proterra Group were instrumental in the implementation of new software for the Goondiwindi Regional Council’s weigh bridges, to ensure a smooth transition to the State Waste Levy. As part of our services, we provide all key all data for the monthly Queensland Waste Data System (QWDS) return in addition to the collation and keying of the Yearly Summary Return to Department of Environment & Science (DES).

The Goondiwindi site receives the waste collected in the kerbside collection vehicles, as well as self-haul waste from domestic and commercial residents. The site is open seven (7) days per week and has a weighbridge that is permanently manned. The site comprises a weighbridge, drop off area for resource recovery, saw-tooth transfer station, bulk stockpiles for green waste, scrap steel and concrete and an active landfill.

The Inglewood site receives predominantly domestic waste via the Transfer Station, with the weighbridge open to commercial customers on Wednesdays. In addition to provision of operation and management of the landfill Proterra Group have completed survey and design works for a new landfill cell upgrade, closure plans, fill plans for the next twenty (20) years.
